Folds is a part of an on-going collaboration, in process, with dance artist and writer Alexandrina Hemsley that explores the complexity of somatic experience meeting with representation. The film Folds was shot within a film studio using cutting-edge high speed digital camera technology, capable of revealing a hidden world of micro movement through extreme slow motion. Through a series of specific 8 second dance pieces performed to camera, Hemsley and Greene use this environment to destabilise standards of image making, exploring themes of intimacy, permission and ambiguity.
Folds joined in a further collaboration with Paul Abbott and Rian Treanor at London's Cafe Oto (2020) and was included in F.R.DAVID Spring 2020: Very Good.
